Art Director Lee Petty takes you on a guided tour through the world of Brutal Legend. He explains how the world was created and he shows some of the “Titanic Landmarks” that make this world into metal heaven. He also introduces you to the factions that inhabit the world. There are the Ironheade based on the classic chrome and leather Nordic-metal, the Drowning Doom that are based on black-metal and goth subcultures and last but not least there are the Tainted Coil said to be based on the developers own research in the SM scene and inspired by Jheronimus Bosch. No Brutal Legend demo but Ninja Gaiden 2 instead

leave a comment »

Want to get access to play the Brutal Legend Demo which was supposed to hit the Playstation store yesterday? Well you can’t…only if you managed to get a key, and for that you will have to pre-order the game. If you are like me and you use demo’s to decide if a game is worth to pre-order, this doesn’t make any sense at all. Of course there are a few ways to get the key without pre-ordering but i think i will wait untill the 1st of Rocktober, and maybe i’ll delay purchasing the game as well. At least there is the option of checking out the Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 demo on the Japanese Playstation Network, and Monkey Island will be free this weekend as well. The Brutal Thoughts video from Jack Black and the new video for Grand Theft Auto: the ballad of Gay Tony make waiting for al those games to be released a bit less painfull luckely.

get more info and the new Gay Tony trailer after the jump.

Gamescom trailers // Brutal Legend

And of course there is also a new trailer for Brutal Legend revealed at the Gamescom in Cologne. Who could have guessed it after the tons of trailers released for the game already. I couldn’t, i thought(hoped) the track-list revealing rubiks-cube solving trailer was the last we would see before the release but i was wrong. If you havent seen that one you can watch it after the jump. But be warned the game has a very long soundtrack.

Prefuse will be visiting the Gamescom on saturday and make a full report about that day.
