N+ co-dev Slick Entertainment announces XBLA racer ‘Scrap Metal’

Srap Metal for Xbox Live Arcade is a top-down racing game reminiscent of Super Off Road or Rock ’n Roll Racing, except, of course, with a modern physics engine. Scrap Metal features combat racing against not only your friends in local and online multiplayer, but “track bosses,” plus the game includes various missions, as well. It’ll be shown off at PAX — possibly in 3-D! — and is expected out on XBLA sometime next year.

Blur // real-life power-ups

This latest video for “Blur” the game in development by Bizarre Creations shows what happens if the in-game power-ups are used in real-life. My personal favourite?? Well…all of them of course! Except the one cat getting scared by another cat. I mean that cat really looks upset, there should be a law for that.

Rockstar Games // new website, trailers, wallpapers & screenshots

Since i’m sort of fan of Rockstar Games and everything they create i had to share this information with you. Starting august 26th they launched an all new website with loads of new trailers, screenshots and more info. In short, they announce a new trailer for “the ballad of gay Tony” will be available september 1st. This is the next episode of Grand Theft Auto IV downloadable content for xbox live coming october 29th. To keep you warm they released two new wallpapers for this same episode as well. Along with the release of an all new trailer Beaterator for PsP and PsN gets an official release date of september 29th. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown wars will be available for PsP on october 20th and they revealed some screenshots. And last on the list there is some “social club” news as well. Sony PS3 commercials // it only does everything

Sony released 2 new ads for the ps3 new ad campaign “it only does everything”. The first one is about the company’s inability to keep a secret, and that you can’t believe everything you see and hear on the internet. The second one explains you what you miss if you don’t connect your ps3 to the internet. “It’s like a bathroom without aroma therapy candles”. Sort of like my bathroom i guess….

Serious Sam HD: the first encounter // SUPERMERCIAL!!

The creators of “Serious Sam HD: The first encounter” bring you this new “SUPERMERCIAL”!! The game is the first to run at a mind boggling 6005 polygons per krundle. And it even scored a near perfect 97 in the Grumbleton survey. Incredible…And if that wasn’t enough there is a mom to convince you this game is awesome as well!!….pasgetti, oh… and don’t talk to Leon.

Slicing, Dicing, Rolling and Skating @ the Gamescom ’09

I immediatly thought back to last year’s 4-day trip to the Leipzig Games Convention together with Fred Prefuse when i found out last week that i won two tickets for the Gamescom in Cologne. We did think about going again earlier this year, but actually didn’t get to plan something serious. Now NG-gamer provided us with two tickets we just couldn’t resist the call to at least go and have a look. And as part of the price there where two Fairytalefights goodie bags and caricature drawings by an art director of Playlogic waiting for us when we got there. So after discussing our options and getting Fred Prefuse’s girlfriend to come along we decided on going saturday….
