The Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was released june 26th for the Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PC, Nintendo DS and the PSP. The game lets players take on the role of their favourite Autobots or Decepticons, picking from the largest, most diverse range of playable Transformers – each with their own distinct abilities and weaponry. Set in unique environments across the globe such as Cairo and Shanghai, the game allows players to instantly switch between vehicle and robot modes as they drive, fly, fight and blast their way through intense, pressure-packed levels. After engaging in single player action, players for the first time ever will be able to go online and battle friends in all-new multiplayer modes.

Machinima is the use of real-time 3-D graphics rendering engines to generate computer animation. The term also refers to works that incorporate this animation technique. Machinima-based artists, sometimes called machinimists or machinimators, often use graphics engines from video games, a practice that arose from the animated software introductions of the 1980s demoscene, Disney Interactive Studios’ 1992 computer game Stunt Island, and 1990s recordings of gameplay in first-person shooter video games, such as id Software’s Doom and Quake. Originally, these recordings documented speedruns—attempts to complete a level as quickly as possible—and multiplayer matches. The addition of storylines to these films created “Quake movies”. The more general term machinima, a misspelled portmanteau of machine cinema, arose when the concept spread beyond the Quake series to other games and software. After this generalization, machinima appeared in mainstream media, including television series and advertisements.
Nathan Drake Heading to Hollywood
Evan Wells // Co-President, Naughty Dog News in Hollywood travels fast! I am happy to confirm that it is indeed true, Sony Computer Entertainment has signed a deal with Columbia Pictures for a movie adaptation of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and it will be produced by Avi Arad, Charles Roven, Ari Arad and Alex Gartner.

Metal Gear Solid: Rising // confirmed for PS3 and PC
Don’t worry if you’re a Metal Gear fanboy and seen Microsoft’s announcement that the next episode of the franchise is coming to the Xbox 360. It will be released on PS3 and PC too.
This will be the first Metal Gear Solid game in the series’ history to be released simultaneously on three platforms, Metal Gear Solid: Rising stars Raiden – one of the most popular characters within the MGS universe. Raiden made his debut as a playable character in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty for PlayStation2, and appeared as a non-playable cyborg in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for PS3.
“The Metal Gear Solid series has always pushed the bar with its cinematic visuals and entertaining story line,” commented Martin Schneider, European Marketing Director for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. “Now even more gamers can immerse themselves in the franchise and experience the groundbreaking series as Metal Gear Solid: Rising heads to the platform of their choice.”
Next to “Metal Gear Solid Rising” there will also be a true follow up to the series. This one is gonna be called “Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker”. The game will be exclusive for PsP and will be released in 2010. Hideo Kojima announced this being the legendary missing link in the Metal Gear series.

Call of Juarez // Bound in Blood
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is a Western themed first-person shooter video game. Developed by Techland and published by Ubisoft, it is a prequel to the first game, Call of Juarez that debuted in 2006 on PC and 2007 on the Xbox 360. The game is currenty scheduled for release on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on the 3rd of July 2009.
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is aimed to make the player experience the “wildest West ever created”. The game derives from spaghetti-western genre: gunslingers, outlaws, duels, prison breaks, bank robberies, stagecoach chases and conflicts with Native Americans, similar to the video game Gun. It features two characters, brothers Ray and Thomas. The game plot is set in the American Civil War period and presents adventures of two brothers across different parts of North America.
