Slicing, Dicing, Rolling and Skating @ the Gamescom ’09

I immediatly thought back to last year’s 4-day trip to the Leipzig Games Convention together with Fred Prefuse when i found out last week that i won two tickets for the Gamescom in Cologne. We did think about going again earlier this year, but actually didn’t get to plan something serious. Now NG-gamer provided us with two tickets we just couldn’t resist the call to at least go and have a look. And as part of the price there where two Fairytalefights goodie bags and caricature drawings by an art director of Playlogic waiting for us when we got there. So after discussing our options and getting Fred Prefuse’s girlfriend to come along we decided on going saturday….

Gamescom 2009 // pulls in 245,000 attendees

Organizers of the Gamescom claim the five-day trade fair pulled a total of 245,000 attendees, made up of 17,000 visitors to the trade show portion, and 228,000 coming to the consumer portion. I’m working on a full report about a day at the Gamescom and it will follow later this week.
